HemiseerHS
Passive Detection of High Speed Targets
HemiseerHS software augments the performance of existing radar technology, allowing it to scan, identify, and isolate reflected ambient signals, giving real time targeting data for research and defense purposes.
What’s the HemiseerHS difference?
Miles Space software applies a new and unique set of filters that take weak signals buried in background EM noise and transform them into easily identifiable patterns. The HemiseerHS software uses existing radar array hardware to isolate properties of emitted or reflected radiation from objects to determine the received power level above the noise floor.
The HemiseerHS proprietary software renders a unique energy “fingerprint”, or signature, for power levels between -80db and +20db (relative to the noise floor). By matching the power level signature to the known EM profiles, we are able to easily and rapidly detect anomalies as they move through space. In short, this gives us the capability of real time tracking of objects traveling at hypersonic speeds anywhere above the Earth.
The Threat of Hypersonics
Unmanned hypersonic vehicles are a significant threat to national security. Difficult to detect, and even more difficult to effectively target, they require a special technology that allows for the accurate live tracking of objects traveling at speeds of Mach 5 and faster.
The extreme velocity of Hypersonic vehicles creates a plasma layer around the leading edge of the vehicle. When radio waves interact with this plasma, the waves lose a significant amount of energy. Traditional radar systems rely on structured signals to identify a target. Radio waveforms altered by the plasma of a hypersonic vehicle lose their structure, rendering them invisible to traditional radar. The HemiseerHS software is added to standard modern radar equipment, allowing it to identify and isolate that minute change in received radio waves, even unstructured signals, thus allowing for an object to be tracked in real time. And because it works in real time, this gives the operator the capacity to target hostile vehicles and remove the threat, all without alerting the target to the fact that it has been successfully detected.
The -80db detectable energy level means that we can process and identify anomalous signals that until now have been indistinguishable from background radiation.
100% Passive Detection
Since the sensitivity of HemiseerHS lets it use ambient electromagnetic radiation as its signal source, the target has no way of sensing it has been detected. Coupled with a response system suited for hypersonic vehicles, the HemiseerHS software can become an integral part of our national defense system.
